Calegari Tela is a shuttle fabric, made entirely in Italy by Maeko from yarn. It is composed of 70% GOTS-certified hemp, known for its strength, and 30% Tencel Lyocell, produced by Lenzing, a leading company recognised for zero CO₂ emission production and the use of wood from sustainable forests.
Calegari cloth, available here in its natural shade – a delicate butter colour due to the fibre mix – is characterised by its versatility. With a weight of 290 g/m², it is ideal for trousers, shorts, skirts and dresses, perfect for the mid and warmer seasons; its distinctive appearance makes it suitable for those looking for a refined yet casual look. Maeko can dye Calegari cloth in custom colours, respecting GOTS specifications, with a minimum quantity of 15 metres, but it is also particularly recommended for natural dyes.
Thanks to its blend of fibres and thermoregulating properties, Calegari Tela keeps body temperature stable and offers effective protection against UVA rays. In addition to clothing, it is very well suited for accessories and prestigious interior design projects.

Color tune and precautions
The color tune of the natural fabrics may vary depending on the lot.
The quality of the device used to make a preview of each fabric may alterate each article.
We highly recommend to pre-wash your fabrics before cutting and tailoring them to avoid the shrinkage once the item has been already created.
Dyeing and finishing of the fabrics
Maeko performs dyeing and sampling services. The first colour bath for sampling allows dyeing from 15-34 m of fabric.
Each dyeing process can be done on customer’s demand following R.E.A.C.H and G.O.T.S specifications.
