This fabric has been created from a unique and unrepeatable yarn; generated by combining the residues of fibres collected from the bobbins at each spinning process for an entire year.
These small quantities of precious fibres, which would otherwise have ended up in the mill, have been combined to create a perfect, soft and precious yarn with a mélange colour.
From this yarn takes shape the Puccini 20/21 article, a perfect harmony between the patient collection of fibre residues and the craftsmanship of the spinner, who has been able to create an ethical yarn of the highest quality, avoiding waste.
The Puccini article is not to be confused with yarns made from recycled fibres, it is in fact a painstaking work of recovery from precious long fibres mixed together without differentiating their colour.
Puccini 20/21 is made up of 95% of fine wools, including cashmere, and 5% of mixed fibres, all processed in our Biella factory on 20/21. This is a vintage product, and we indicate it as one does with wine.
The article is magnificent and we intend to continue; next year, depending on the fibres we will be processing, the Puccini article will be different in identity, appearance and colour and will return in a different shade.
The resulting fabric is fine with a Biellese hand, i.e. soft and light, perfect for making durable and elegant jackets, trousers and accessories.
