The weave of Scolari 2S Tela is obtained by combining the robust hemp warp of the Scolari chain with the soft Bourette silk with its characteristic irregular yarn appearance obtained from the waste of the finest silk.
The result is a Hemp and Silk fabric with a 300 gr/m2, structured but with a soft hand pleasant on the skin. His characteristic is his sturdiness who makes it perfect to craft jackets and trousers, while for his softness it’s perfect to create dresses, skirts, and women tailleurs.
In the home décor it’s very good to create big or small tablecloths and the lining of chairs that will give your home a natural-boho style.
It’s also very good for designing accessories like bags of any kind.
Color tune and precautions
The color tune of the natural fabrics may vary depending on the lot.
The quality of the device used to make a preview of each fabric may alterate each article.
We highly recommend to pre-wash your fabrics before cutting and tailoring them to avoid the shrinkage once the item has been already created.
Dyeing and finishing of the fabrics
Maeko performs dyeing and sampling services. The first colour bath for sampling allows dyeing from 15-34 m of fabric.
Each dyeing process can be done on customer’s demand following R.E.A.C.H and G.O.T.S specifications.
