Year 2023: MAEKO expands the natural textile supply chain, this time in SICILY where he will cultivate and harvest the ORGANIC COTTON!
One more piece because everything FILI ITALIAN!
This new adventure begins in Tusa, in the province of Messina, thanks to an invitation to adopt a portion of the fertile Organic Cotton crops from MANLEY PAPER, a Sicilian entrepreneur with international experience and vision.
We shake hands with MANLEY PAPER, a passionate and determined worker, whom we have known since the beginning of this adventure and who has planned all activities and achieved extraordinary results.
An enterprise started by cultivating the first year 10 hectares, the second year 50 hectares and to date, the third year, 100 hectares with the forecast for 2024 to reach 200 hectares spread over the fertile lands of Sicily.
Our intentions coincide with yours: respect for the earth and those who work it, for high Italian craftsmanship open to innovation and international comparison, and close to a production that is conscious and respectful of the environment that hosts us.
We believe in it, it is a challenge we see as successful, MAEKO is there!
We are enchanted by the cotton fields overlooking the sea, with a breathtaking view. The cotton plants in front of us are blooming and remind us of Botticelli's wild roses.
Faced with so much beauty and common intentions, we decided to be part of the project by adopting our first Sicilian organic cotton field.
