Grape seeds from Occitania

Soluble Extract for Natural Tincture

Price range: 10,00€ through 41,00€

The extract of Grape seeds Occitania powder is used by dissolving it in hot water to dye natural yarns and fabrics.

The quantity of powder varies according to the desired colour intensity, generally 10% to 100% of the weight of the fabric to be dyed is used.

Yarns and fabrics, which must be pre-treated with a mordant such as rock alum or metallic salts, are immersed in the hot solution and soaked for 30-60 minutes, stirring regularly to ensure uniform absorption of the colour.

After dyeing, the fabrics must be rinsed thoroughly in cold water to remove excess dye, then dried in the shade to preserve the intensity of the shades obtained, which vary from antique pink to mauve grey, passing through violet and burgundy shades depending on the mordant used and the type of fibre.

Extracts

The powder extracts are a concentrated form of natural pigment, obtained from plants, flowers, roots, animal sources and minerals. These extracts are stable, keep for a long time and allow for precise dosing, making them ideal for those who wish to colour yarns and fabrics naturally.
