Maeko - Italian craftsmanship

A few days ago we were contacted by this beautiful company that discovered our fabrics and yarns and decided to talk about us and our project.
Ortosuorto.com is an online platform designed to connect people who produce and sell, or exchange surplus production of products they personally grow.
The founders, who are also horticulturists, have noticed that more and more people are deciding to create their own vegetable garden, with the intention of cultivating in a healthy and natural way.
However, they often produced more than they could or wanted to consume, hence the idea to develop a project that could help limit waste, enhance relationships and stimulate the local economy.
Ortosuorto.com combines both professional and amateur offerings focused on the search for fresh local produce. They help companies that embrace natural cultivation and production through direct distribution to gain profitability and quality, offering the possibility for everyone to buy 0 km products.
We believe that a new, more ethical and sustainable direction is possible, but we can only do it if each of us is willing to do our part.
We quote their words about us in their article below, because they sum up the concept perfectly and what we think of their project is mutual:
“...because we deeply share its values and want to spread respect for our environment. This continuous focus must be pursued not only through the promotion of healthy and natural food products that follow seasonality and support small and medium-sized Italian companies. But also through the knowledge of responsible companies operating in other sectors. We are convinced that if we are all ready to move in an environmentally sustainable direction, we can do a lot to achieve our goal: to improve our planet.”
