Hemp Seeds
Hemp sativa seed may be one of the foods with the highest nutritional value.
They contain about 25% of protein, in a combination unique in the plant world, as they contain all 9 essential amino acids, i.e. those that our body cannot synthesise.
Rich in vitamins, especially vitamin E, vitamins A, PP, C, B1, B3, B5 and vitamin D.
They also contain many minerals, including calcium, magnesium and potassium.
Hemp seeds consist of a very good quality fatty part (35%), about 3/4 of which consists of a mixture of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are essential for regulating the activity of numerous glands.
The essential fatty acids, Omega 6 and Omega 3, are in a ratio of 3:1, considered optimal by the World Health Organisation, to meet our antioxidant needs.
A simple but exceptional product. We offer them whole (with the shell) or hulled (without the shell, softer and sweeter).
The nutritional values of hemp seeds are really important. They contain all the amino acids essential to our needs, are very rich in vitamins (provitamin A, B vitamins and E), dietary fibre and protein.
They are also high in energy value, 516 Kcal per 100 g. Hemp seeds (hulled and unhulled) are best eaten raw, to prevent cooking from altering and neutralising their nutritional properties.
They are used as a condiment or ingredient in mixed salads and various preparations such as cakes, bread, muesli, etc.
